At Utah Career College, we provide skills and job training employers value. Our support does not stop at the classroom door, however. A Career Placement Services representative will be there to help you take advantage of opportunities for employment and advancement while you are a student, when you graduate and as you establish yourself in your field.
From a degree to a career
Our primary focus at UCC has never wavered – providing high-value skills training that helps students achieve professional success. We cannot promise or guarantee a job after you graduate, but we do promise to support you in your search. Our degree programs have high placement rates – some reach 100%. (Contact us about the placement rate for a specific program.) A representative of our Career Placement Services Department visits hundreds of employers in the Salt Lake City region and beyond every year, establishing strong relationships and identifying career opportunities for graduates.
The key is finding the right job for YOU!
Are you an extrovert or an introvert? How far are you willing to travel? Do you want a flexible schedule, or a 9-5 job? Do you want to work with people, animals or computers? We will help you consider those questions and others, first when you choose a program of study, and later when you prepare to begin your job search. Our career services support includes resume, cover letter and interviewing tips and help in identifying employment opportunities that fit your lifestyle and will help you accomplish your personal goals.
Putting professional relationships to work
During the course of their studies, UCC students have opportunities for professional networking with instructors, members of program advisory committees, classmates and mentors in externships. Those professionals are often able to identify employment opportunities and willing to provide references, valuable job search aids.
There is no charge to use the services of the Career Services Department, and you are welcome to make use of the services as long as your program is still offered at the school. We also help students find employment while they complete their degrees – after you have attended classes for one month, the department will help you find part‐time work.
